Chat safety: the User warning
When you message someone who is not a verified creator, a warning reminds you never to send money or leave the platform.
- 1
Open a conversation. If the other account is not an approved, verified Collect Fans creator (a fan account or a pending application), a yellow User warning appears above the message box.
- 2
It shows whether you follow them and whether you are subscribed (Free messaging when not). Verified creators never trigger the warning.
- 3
Never send money, gift cards or crypto, and never move to another app because someone asked you to in chat. All payments — subscriptions, unlocks, tips — happen only inside Collect Fans, so your card is never shared with a creator.
- 4
Close the warning with ×; it returns in your next browser session. Report suspicious accounts from their profile (••• → Report) or via Contact Support.
