How protected media works
Paid content is genuinely protected — the preview is a separate, re-encoded file.
When a creator publishes a paid unlock post, the original file is stored in private storage that is never publicly reachable. The public preview is a new file rendered on the server with the blur, pixelation, colour, brush or emoji layers burned in.
There is nothing to “un-blur”: the preview does not contain the hidden pixels. After an unlock the app fetches the original through a short-lived signed link.
Fans should never share unlocked content; doing so violates the Terms and can lead to account termination.
