Stream with OBS or another encoder

For the best quality, broadcast from OBS Studio, Streamlabs, XSplit or Wirecast using the RTMP server URL and your private stream key.

  1. 1

Open Live Studio, set your title (and exclusive price if you want a paid show), then click View RTMP/OBS broadcast information and stream key.

  2. 2

Copy the Server URL and the Stream key. The key is hidden by default — use the eye icon to reveal it, or just press Copy.

  3. 3

In OBS open Settings → Stream, choose Service: Custom…, paste the Server and Stream key and click OK.

  4. 4

Under Settings → Output set 1280×720 or 1920×1080 at 30 fps, keyframe interval 2 s, bitrate 2500–6000 kbps (x264 or NVENC), audio AAC 160 kbps.

  5. 5

Click Start Streaming in OBS. Within a few seconds Live Studio switches from "Waiting for stream to start" to Live, your profile shows the Live banner and chat opens.

  6. 6

When you are done, press Stop Streaming in OBS and End broadcast in Live Studio.

Keep the stream key private: anyone who has it can broadcast on your channel. Click New key to replace it at any time (only while not live).

If OBS drops, the page shows "Waiting for stream to start" again and your key stays valid — just reconnect. Keep the Live Studio tab open while streaming so viewers, chat and tips keep working.

OBS gives you scenes, overlays, screen capture, multiple cameras and a hardware encoder — the in-browser broadcaster is simpler but limited to one camera.
