How copyright owners report infringing content on Collect Fans, how the designated agent handles a notice, and how a user files a counter notification.
Designated Copyright Agent

Filing a Notice of Claimed Infringement
A notice must be a written communication and, under 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3), must include substantially all of the following. A notice that leaves any of it out may be treated as ineffective.
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or a representative list if the notice covers multiple works at this site.
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it — the full URL of the post, profile or file is the most reliable form.
- Contact details for the complaining party: name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that the complaining party has a good faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
Under 17 U.S.C. §512(f), anyone who knowingly and materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages, including costs and legal fees.
What Happens After a Notice
Valid notices are handled expeditiously. The reported material is removed or disabled, the incident is recorded, and the user who posted it is notified that the material was removed in response to a copyright notice, together with a copy of the notice and an explanation of the counter notification process.
Removed material stays in our internal records so that the removal can be evidenced and, where a valid counter notification is received, reversed. It is not visible on the site while it is removed.
Counter Notification
A user whose material was removed may send a counter notification to the designated agent. Under 17 U.S.C. §512(g)(3) it must include:
- The user's physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and the location at which it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that the user has a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- The user's name, postal address and telephone number, and a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which the address is located (or, for an address outside the United States, any judicial district in which Private Media Network LLC may be found), and that the user will accept service of process from the complaining party or its agent.
A copy of a valid counter notification is forwarded to the complaining party. If the complaining party does not notify us within ten business days that it has filed an action seeking a court order to restrain the activity, the material may be restored in ten to fourteen business days.
Repeat Infringer Policy
In accordance with 17 U.S.C. §512(i), Collect Fans has adopted and implements a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. Each valid notice that results in removal is recorded against the account that posted the material. Accounts that accumulate repeated valid notices are suspended or terminated, and any pending payouts are held pending review.
Circumventing a removal by re-uploading the same material is itself grounds for immediate termination.
Other Complaints
Reports that are not about copyright — non-consensual content, a person depicted asking for removal, impersonation, or content that may be illegal — are handled under the Complaint and Removal Policy, not this page. The signed-in report button on any profile routes a report to the same review queue.
